IDeation & Prototyping PROCESS SITE
This page documents my work for the Ideation & Prototyping course (DM-GY 6053), part of my master’s program at NYU Tandon.
Weekly discussions can be found by clicking the discussions link, while any documentation, such as projects, can be found below.
50 Shades project
This is the section for my first project in this class. It requires students to create 50 different renderings of a single object.

endangered animal project
This is the section for my second project in this class. It requires students to choose an endangered animal, do some research on it, and then create the animal using recycled materials and trash items.

TRANSLATING AFFORDANCES
This is the section for my third project in this class. In this project, I designed a Tangible Food Diary that changes the way we track our food intake. By creating a physical interface inspired by digital calorie-counting apps, I aimed to make logging dietary choices a more engaging and personal experience.
This project combines creativity with everyday materials to foster a hands-on interaction with food, offering users a tangible way to connect with their eating habits.

Time capsulE PART I
This section covers my fourth project in this class, which is divided into three parts. For part I, we focused on identifying meaningful objects to include in a time capsule and crafting a story around them.
This process allowed me to reflect on my experiences and the significance of each item, putting them together to create a narrative that resonates with my journey.

TIME CAPSULE PART II
This is the section for part II of my fourth project in this class. For this phase, we were tasked with creating a time capsule that connects to the story we developed in part one: Footprints in the City.
In my time capsule, I took inspiration from the New York City subway, an essential part of my daily life. The subway embodies movement and exploration, reflecting my journey of chasing dreams in this vibrant city. I designed it to resemble a subway car, wrapping it in subway maps that showcase my routes, symbolizing my physical travels and the emotional changes I've gone through.

Time capsule part III
This is the section for part III of my fourth project in this class. For this phase, we were tasked with telling the story of someone discovering our time capsule 125 years from now.
For my narrative, I decided to create a photoessay. In the photos, I show what it might be like for someone to stumble upon my items a century from today, and how they may reflect on the objects in my capsule.

UX Design research
This is the section for the final project in this class, which is a seven-week User Experience Research project. I will explore, investigate, study, analyze, and eventually, ideate and design interventions for a real-world social phenomenon.
The link below attaches to the project page. My topic is Mental Health Dialogue within the Elderly Community through the use of technology.
